Take a look at the world from the eye of a satellite

Directed by Marc Daniels. With William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Robert Lansing. While back in time observing Earth in 1968, the Enterprise crew encounters the mysterious Gary Seven who has his own agenda on the planet. As Apple has decided to not support Sierra on the MacPro 3,1, there needs to be modifications performed to allow Sierra to be installed on the Mac Pro 3,1 This installation guide ONLY applies for the Mac Pro 3,1. I performed these steps on El Capitan - I have no idea if they will work on OS’s prior to that.

Hey ..
I'm doing some updates/upgrades to my wife's mid-2010 Mac Pro (5,1) .. I installed an SSD for the boot drive, and a couple 6TB HGST for data and backup. Booted the computer, everything worked great. Rebooted the computer - the 6TB HGST HDDs wouldn't mount. Rebooted again - same thing. Cold start boot - everything is fine again.
Turns out, I didn't do my research very well, and this has been documented before:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7132585?start=0&tstart=0
The basic gist of that thread is that the SSD boots so quickly, and the 6TB HGST HDDs require a little more time to spin up .. so, on a reboot, they are too slow to mount. On a cold start, they mount fine. After discussions with Apple and HGST, no one expects any updates that would fix this issue.
My questions .. At the very end of thread that I linked, someone mentions using Tinkertool System to automatically mount the drives before login, and then using Cocktail to delay startup by 20 to 30 seconds. Do any of you have any experience with Tinkertool System and/or Cocktail? Before I make another mistake, I'd like to figure out if this will help or hurt the system.

Cocktail: http://www.maintain.se/cocktail/
Also .. if anyone has any advice on the 6TB HGST not mounting, I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks!
