From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You should see the macOS name, such as macOS Big Sur, followed by its version number. If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it. If the question mark appears only momentarily before your Mac starts up normally:
- Reset NVRAM.
- Make sure that your preferred startup disk is selected in Startup Disk preferences.

If the question mark persists, follow these steps:
- Press and hold the power button on your Mac for up to 10 seconds, until your Mac turns off.
- Turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold Command (⌘) and R to start up from macOS Recovery.
- While in macOS Recovery, use Disk Utility to repair your startup disk.
- If Disk Utility found no errors or repaired all errors, reinstall macOS.
- If you still need help, please contact Apple Support.

How to watch
Regular season games (Nov. 7–Dec. 12) will be televised nationally by a combination of ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, Fox and FS1. Fox will televise the Dec. 18 Football Championship Game. Exact broadcast schedules are yet to be announced — check local listings for broadcast and kickoff times in your area. Check the official Husky Athletics site for definitive details.
Husky Football on the radio
Radio coverage of the 2020 Husky Football team is already underway on SportsRadio 950 KJR, the Washington Sports Network and the Huskies Gameday mobile app (available on Apple and Android), as well as on demand through the GoHuskies podcast:
- The Jimmy Lake Show is a one-hour weekly show featuring the Huskies’ head coach, airing live on Wednesday nights, 6-7 p.m. PT.
- Tony Castricone and Damon Huard are hosting Husky Football Saturdays live from Husky Stadium, 8-11 a.m. each Saturday morning until the season begins.
- On game day, live coverage begins four hours before kickoff with Husky Gameday hosted by Dave ‘Softy’ Mahler, Dick Baird and others. Castricone, Huard and Elise Woodward will call the play-by-play of the games.

Husky Home Spirit Contest
We want to see how you celebrate Purple Pride at home! Take a photo of your living room decked out in Husky gear, snap a screenshot of your virtual tailgate or make a video of your very own cheer routine. Whatever you do, show your Husky Spirit, post the photo (or video) on social media following the steps below. You’ll be entered to win four round-trip tickets on Alaska Airlines plus passes to the Alaska Lounge. Here’s what to do:
- Share your photo or video on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #HuskyHomeSpirit.
- Follow and tag both the UW Alumni Association (@uwalum) and Alaska Airlines (@alaskaair) in your post.
- Make sure we can see the post by setting the privacy to public.
